Who we are

IdenIQ is a marketing, website and reporting service based in Midrand, Gauteng, serving businesses across South Africa. IdenIQ is not a registered company at this time, so there is no registration number to show.

This policy explains how we handle personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). For any privacy question, email hello@ideniq.co.za.

What we collect

We collect only what you give us through our forms, plus limited technical data if you accept cookies.

  • Free audit form: your name, business name, email, WhatsApp number, website (optional), what you want help with, your monthly marketing budget, and any notes you add.
  • Contact form: your name, email, phone number and message.
  • Get Started form: your business and contact details, goals, brand and website details, and the details of the data sources we will work with. We never ask for passwords or API keys through the form.
  • Cookies and analytics: how visitors use the site and how they reach it. This is collected only after you choose Accept on the cookie banner.

Why we use it

We use your information to reply to you, arrange your free audit call, prepare quotes, deliver the work you hire us for, and send the confirmation emails you expect. If you accept cookies, we also use analytics to understand which pages work and to measure our own advertising. We do not sell your information.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the providers that help us run the service:

  • Resend, to send our emails.
  • Notion, where we keep our client and enquiry records.
  • Vercel, which hosts this website.
  • Google (Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics) and Meta (Meta Pixel), for analytics and advertising measurement. These tags load only after you accept cookies.

Storing information outside South Africa

These providers store and process information on servers outside South Africa. We use providers that protect personal information to a standard comparable to POPIA.

How long we keep it

Free audit and contact enquiries are kept for up to 12 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a client. Client records are kept for the length of the engagement and for up to 5 years afterwards, to meet legal and tax record-keeping needs. You can ask us to delete your information sooner, unless we must keep it by law.

How we protect it

We limit access to the information you send us, use reputable providers, and ask clients to share account access through invitations and secure links rather than passwords.

Cookies

When you first visit, a banner asks you to Accept or Reject analytics and marketing cookies. Until you accept, we do not load analytics or marketing tags, and Google Consent Mode is set to denied.

Your choice is saved in your browser. You can change or withdraw it at any time with the Cookie settings button in the footer of every page.

Data processing for clients

When we work with a client's customer or account data, for example their ad accounts, website or reports, IdenIQ acts as an operator under POPIA and the client is the responsible party.

We process that data only on the client's instructions and as set out in the service agreement. We keep it secure, we do not use it for any other purpose, and we return or delete it when the engagement ends.

Your rights under POPIA

You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, to object to how we use it, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect what we did before you withdrew it.

To use any of these rights, email our Information Officer using the details below.

Information Officer

IdenIQ's Information Officer is its founder. Contact them at hello@ideniq.co.za.

Complaints

If you think we have handled your information badly, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
